“Human-driven methane emissions are responsible for nearly 45% of current net warming.”

– United Nations Environment Programme

Removing methane is the lowest-cost method for decreasing global warming.

Livestock methane release represents the largest opportunity for methane capture within the Anthropogenic pathway.

Federal mandates are 16x higher than current production.

In conclusion, oil companies have to buy your product.

Renewable Fuel Standard ("RFS")

Renewable natural gas is found in the D3 Renewable Identification Number (“RIN”) class of the Renewable Fuel Standard. D3 class is the most valuable class of RINs composed of most cellulosic feedstocks to most fuel types, and dairy methane projects. Food waster, waste water treatment and landfill gas all achieve a D5 RIN which is less valuable. D3 RINS create their own demand, and must be purchase at whatever past production levels reached. Today that proposed mark is at 2.13 Billion in 2025. Current levels today are at .72 requiring a ~3X production increase.

Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS)

LCFS and similar cap and trade programs create Carbon Intensity ("CI") as measured by the direct and Indirect greenhouse gas ("GHG") emissions produced from transportation fuels and create a baseline which polluters and mitigators must trade around.

LCFS is added to the RFS program, and works along with 45V, 45Z and other tax incentives.
